Description

VA Puget Sound intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Hooper Holmes for traveling phlebotomists. Work includes phlebotomist services for subjects participating in a Congressionally-mandated Hepatitis C study for approximately 2500 veterans during the period of 5/15/01 through 5/14/02, and includes all services, travel, and supplies necessary to perform blood draws and collect health data in each subject's home. Subjects may reside in 20 or more states (including Hawaii and Alaska), plus Puerto Rico and Guam. No solicitation document exists; this notice is for information purposes only and is not a request for bids. Alternative sources will be considered only if responding with clear and convincing evidence that they possess the qualifications and experience necessary to meet the Research Department's approved protocol. Responses must be in writing and must be received within 10 calendar days of this notice. The determination to open competition based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government.
