Description

The Operational Contracting Division, Specialized Contracting Branch, intends to issue a solicitation for a contractor to remove and dispose of hazardous waste. The scope of the project consists of the, but is not limited to: furnishing all services, equipment, materials, and labor for the packaging, marking, labeling, transport, storage, treatment, disposal and performance of all operations necessary to meet the requirements in accordance with the Statement of Work. The contractor will also be required to track and manage the use of Hazardous Materials in accordance with the Department of Defense (DoD) automated Hazardous Material Management System (HMMS). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 562211 and the Small Business Size Standard is $10M which is the average gross revenue taken for the last three (3) fiscal years. Depending on the responses to this synopsis, this procurement may be set aside for small business. The Period of Performance for this award shall include a Basic Year (approximately 11 June 2001 through 30 September 2001) and four (4) Option Years. The following are evaluation criteria: proof of insurance, names of licenses of all hauler and Treatment Storage Disposal Facilities (TSDF) with EPA and DEP that the contractor intends to use on contract, and past performance. This solicitation will be issued using commercial practices in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Award will be made on or about 6 June 2001. All interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database in order to receive an award.
