- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation prepared in accordance with FAR Part 13. No RFQ will be made available for distribution. The government intends to award, on a competitive basis an order for services on Software Training for Hampton Roads Enterprise Network personnel at the Norfolk Naval Station, Norfolk, Virginia in accordance with the following Statement of Work: Title: HP OPENVIEW AND CISCOWORKS 2000 ON-SITE SOFTWARE TRAINING FOR HAMPTON ROADS ENTERPRISE NETWORK (HREN) AT THE NORFOLK NAVAL STATION, NORFOLK, VA. BUILDING M-51. 1.0 INTRODUCTION The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), Program Management Warfare (PMW) 164-3 is responsible for providing program management, system design, integration, and implementation of the Navy's Base Level Information Infrastructure (BLII) at the Norfolk Naval Station, Norfolk, Virginia. To support newly installed BLII equipment, Hampton Roads Enterprise Network (HREN) personnel will require on-site HP OpenView and CiscoWorks 2000 Network Management software training in order to effectively operate and maintain the system that will provide mission critical communications to the ships in the Atlantic Fleet. 2.0 SCOPE This Statement of Work (SOW) describes the contractor efforts to provide on-site HP OpenView and CiscoWorks 2000 software training to Hampton Roads Enterprise Network (HREN) personnel at the Norfolk Naval Station, Norfolk, Virginia. 3.0 REQUIREMENTS a. The contractor shall provide labor and training course material in order to perform on-site HP OpenView and CiscoWorks 2000 Network Management software training to Hampton Roads Enterprise Network personnel at the Norfolk Naval Station, Norfolk, Virginia. b. The contractor shall coordinate training dates with an on-site HREN representative. c. Training class shall consist of no more than 8 students. d. Training class shall be no more than 7 days. 4.0 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED EQUIPMENT The contractor shall utilize existing BLII networking equipment. 5.0 TRAVEL Travel is between Contractor's Facilities and Hampton Roads Enterprise Network at the Norfolk Naval Station, Norfolk, Virginia. 6.0 OTHER 6.1 SECURITY No security clearance is required for performance of tasking. 6.2 PLACE OF PERFORMANCE Hampton Roads Enterprise Network at the Norfolk Naval Station, Norfolk, Virginia. 6.3 INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE Inspection and acceptance of any products of this delivery order will be performed by William Jones Code D632 Project Engineer 524-2162. 6.4 PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE The period of performance for this task is 30 calendar days from date of award. While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award will be based on responsive, responsible, technically acceptable low offers. Competitive awards may be based on the evaluation criteria stipulated in the Red, Yellow, Green (RYG) Contractor Evaluation System. No telephone requests will be accepted.
