Description
Thirty-four (34) each GTA Weld Process Remote Control Consoles, Amet Inc Model MFR-II or equal. Salient characteristics for an "equal" product: Must utilize a capacitive discharge arc starter. Must include a built in 0 to 60-scfh flowmeter. Must include an internal mounted argon pressure regulator set at 50 psi. Must include an externally mounted torch gas pre-purge on/off switch. Shall include a non-metered, pressure regulated argon gas auxiliary service port. Shall include an RS 232 computer connection port for parameter programming and parameter real-time graph readout. Shall be equipped with a Hall Effect sensor for remote current control. Must be equipped with an automatic high voltage and low voltage shut off. All control electronics are to be isolated to prevent electronic radio frequency interference. Cabinet is to have non-metallic isolation strips on 3 of the 4 sides to prevent cabinet shorting. Must be capable of operating up to 250 feet from the welding power source. Must be compatible for use with both a POWCON 300 SR/SM and a Miller Electric XMT 304 CC/CV welding power source. Remote shall be capable of operating at 300 amps at a 100% duty cycle. Control cable connector is to be a Veam part number CIR064PP-20-29P-F80 to be compatible with existing cabling. Weld lead connections are to be Number 2 Tweco connectors. Hand held remote port to be compatible with a Amphenol Model MS-3102A-16-10S or equal connector with pin A for upslope, pin B for downslope and pin C as common. Parameter displays are to be LED readout displays. Must have the following parameters adjustable via a single control knob: all parameters are to be adjustable between 1 to 15 seconds or more (a) torch gas preflow; (b) torch gas postflow; (c) upslope time in seconds; (d) downslope time in seconds; (e) weld current, both initial and maximum. Weld current LED shall display actual weld current during welding evolutions. Argon gas ports to be equipped with Aeroquip FD45-Series-04B female quick disconnects and compatible male quick disconnects. Must be capable of having 16 preset weld parameter programs. Must have 5 preset pulse schedule parameters as follows: setting frequency HZ (1) 1.25, (2) 2.00, (3) 0.75, (4) 1.25, (5) 1.00; pulse time seconds (1) 0.32, (2) 0.25, (3) 0.80, (4) 0.48, (5) 0.30; background amps peak (1) 40%, (2) 50%, (3) 50%, (4) 50%, (5) 30%. Weight not to exceed 25 pounds. Dimensions not to exceed 13" wide by 9" high by 12" deep. Delivery required no later than 21 September 2001. FOB Destination, Bremerton Washington. Inspection/Acceptance at Destination. This procurement action is unrestricted. When issued, the RFP will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link "www.neco.navy.mil". Failure to respond to electronically posted solicitations and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals may render your proposal nonresponsive and result in rejection. No telephone requests for the RFP will be accepted.
