BROOM CASSETTES This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6. PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE ISSUED. Solicitation F65501-01-Q0190 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The NAICS code is 334119. This acquisition is unrestricted. DESCRIPTION: Broom Cassettes for an M-B Companies Model 4600 Runway Broom. It is a wire cassette system made by Sweeper Brush Inc. Part # CW692224 or equal. The specifications are as follows: Designed for: Core length: 106_ (x2), Core diameter: 46_ No. of grooves: 28. Each set to consist of: 168 cassette bars 27.375_ +0-.125_, 56 cassette bars 23.500_ +0-.125_. Each 27.375_ bar will contain 15 tufts, each 23.500_ bar will contain 13 tufts. Each tuft contains 140 wires locked in the center by a .156_ high carbon steel locking pin giving each tuft 280 wire ends, total length of the tuft is 12.750_ +/- .0625_. Wire specification: .018_ dia. High carbon grade _C_ brush wire, tensile strength 345,000 PSI. Cassette bar made of high density co-polypropylene. Packaging: Each set will consist of four cartons containing 56 bars per box. FOB destination to Elmendorf AFB, Alaska. Delivery must be accomplished NLT 1 Sep 01. The following provisions and clauses are incorporated by reference and shall remain in full force in any resultant purchase order; FAR 52.212-1 _ Instructions to Offerors, Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-2 _ Evaluation _ Commercial Items. Award will be made based on low price/technically acceptable offer. The government reserves the right to make award on the initial quote received without discussions.
