- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate with Roper Scientific on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR Part 13.106-1(b), Soliciting from a single source, for the purchase of a Princeton Instruments PentaMAX 512EFT Intensified Digital CCD Camera System with: 7308-0004 IPentaMAX camera head; 512 x 512 pixel Scientific Grade 1 CCD (EEV 37); Thermoelectrically cooled to -20C; 18 mm intensifier, Gen IV type, >40% QE at 546nm; 1.5:1 Fiber optic reducer, coupled to CCD; 12 bits, 1 and 5 Mhz A/D converters; support binning and subregion readout modes; 7362-0002 External IIC-200 image intensifier control unit; 7323-002 High speed PCI interface package with 25' cable; 6050-0269 High voltage cable, MCP, 15'; 6050-0184 PentaMax power cable, 10'; 7198-001 Power supply; 7999-0106 PentaMAX C-mount nose kit; 4412-0046 Winview real-time acquisition, display, and data processing software for Windows 95; Visual Basic programming capability; supports high-speed DMA collection; and full featured help. The following features either alone or in combination make the Princeton Instruments PentaMAX 512EFT Intensified Digital CCD Camera System uniquely qualified to fulfill the Government's requirement: 1. Minimum Quantum Efficiency of 40% at 546 nm guaranteed. 2. Image intensifier is fiber-optically coupled to the CCD. 3. Frame-transfer CCD with 512 x 512 active area. 4. CCD cooled to -20 C with thermoelectric cooling. 5. 12-bit Analog to digital converter (ADC) operates at 5 MHz. . The delivery time for this requirement is 90 days or less after receipt of order and the delivery shall be FOB Destination to Gaithersburg, Maryland. The Government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price purchase order. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes by May 9, 2001. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) package is not available. The NAICS code for this requirement is 333314 with a size standard of 500 employees. However, this requirement is unrestricted. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
