- Description
- The Defense Supply Service-Washington, on behalf of the Department of Defense (DoD), American Forces Information Services (AFIS), intends to issue a Request For Quotation (RFQ) DASW01-01-T-0038. The RFQ is for education support to include all personnel, facilities, labor, equipment, supplies, utilities, lodging, custodial services and meals to teach a graduate-level "Department of Defense (DoD) Joint Course in Communication (JCC)" for DoD military and civilian students. The Contractor will conduct four (4) courses annually, each class eight (8) weeks in length, consisting of public affairs officers, non-commissioned officers and civilian specialists. Each course will train between approximately six (6) and twenty-four (24) Government students. The RFQ is planned for issuance on 17 May 2001. This acquisition is unrestricted, Full and Open Competition, and the RFQ will result in a single award Firm Fixed Price Contract. The Contract will have a Base Performance Period of one (1) year from 01 Oct 2001 through 30 September 2002, with four (4) Option Periods of twelve (12) months, and is subject to the availability of funds for FY-02. Interested parties must be accredited in news, editorial, public relations, and/or communications, or their appropriate equivalents, such as, the Accreditation Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications (ACEJMC), the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration (NASPAA), and/or the Speech-Communication Association (SCA), and with a Regional Accrediting Association. Interested parties are required to submit written verification of such accreditations or proof of current application for such accreditation with their written request for a copy of the RFQ. In addition, upon the written request the interested parties should provide their electronic mail (e-mail) and return address.
