Description
DESCRIPTION: This project is to construct the fendering and deck hardware modifications at the south side of the Mole Pier, Naval Station, San Diego, California, complete and ready for use. The work includes removing existing steel hardware from (two) spud foundations, installing (four) rubber buckling fenders with steel face panel and high density plastic facing, replacing (four) cleats with bollards, minor modifications to the existing utility systems and other incidental work. The estimated cost of construction is between $100,000 to $250,000. The contract duration is approximately 120 calendar days. This is a Firm Fixed-Price Construction Contract. Contract to be awarded to the responsible offeror who has the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable proposal. The following factors have been established as (1) Experience, (2) Past Performance, and (3) Price. The site visit is scheduled for 30 May 2001, 9:00 A.M. Pacific Standard Time (PST). A pre-proposal conference is scheduled for 30 May 2001 following the site visit and location shall be determined and identified in the solicitation. Participants MUST reserve seating a minimum of three (3) days in advance of the conference date by contacting Cynthia Urias at (619) 556-9569. This is not a public bid opening. This proposed contract is unrestricted. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 234990 and the annual size standard is $27,500,000. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(7), availability of the solicitation will be limited to the electronic medium; solicitation which will be available on 16 May 2001 for download free of charge via the Internet World Wide Web at http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. Hard copies (paper sets) or CD-ROM of solicitation will not be provided by the Government. All amendments to the solicitation will be posted on the Internet. Prospective offerors will be responsible for checking the web-site for any posted changes. The official plan holder's list will be maintained on and can be printed from the web site. Accordance with DFARS 252.204-7004, all firms must be registered with the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) prior to any award of a DOD contract.
