Description

Permanently install a PV pump system that will supply potable livetock water from a 600 ft. well (water level at 480 ft. average) at a rate of 12-20 GPM to a 32,000 gallon storage tank from a 8' D casing to a 3" D supply pipe for a total of 6,000 gal/day using Photo Voltaic (PV) panels as the source of energy. This system will include a solar pump controller to protect against dry well, pump motor failure and overheating, and a float switch for the tank. Also included in this system will be a 6" cast iron pump that will fit inside the existing well casing. This system will be installed in the Rocky Moutain Research Station's Desert Experimental Range, approximately 43 miles west of Milford, Utah (lat. 38 degrees 40' North, long. 113 degrees 45' West), with an elevation of approximately 6,000 feet.
