Description

Background "To provide the Base Information Transfer Center services to include receiving, processing, distributing, and dispatching official mail, communications, forms, parcels and distribution for all Wright-Patterson AFB OH supported activities. Also includes picking up all official outgoing mail and communications. The proposed procurement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside, NAICS Code 492210, size standard of $18.5M. Period of performance is 01 Oct 01 through 30 Sep 02. Four one-year options may be awarded. The solicitation/RFP will be issued electronically and posted on the ASC PreAward Information Exchange System (PIXS) web site at: http://www.pixs.wpafb.af.mil NO HARD COPIES WILL BE ISSUED FOR ANY REASON. NOTE: THE RFP WILL BE ISSUED ON OR ABOUT 25 MAY 2001 ON THE PRE-AWARD INFORMATION EXCHANGE (PIXS) INTERNET WEB SITE. Once the solicitation/RFP has been posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for updates to the documents. The purpose of the Ombudsman is to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. Existence of an Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or the contracting officer. Accordingly, the Ombudsman does not participate in the preparation of solicitations, the evaluation of proposals, or the source selection process.
