Description

DESCRIPTION: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format found in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-23. This solicitation is being issued as a Request For Quotation (RFQ) #829449. The North American Industry Classification System Number is 421830. This is a "Brand Name" only solicitation consisting of [1] three (3) each Unocode key machines w/accessories; [2] one (1) each -- Prima Laser key machine w/accessories; [3] one (1) each Quattrocode key machine w/accessories; [4] two (2) each Marker machine w/accessories. A list of all required accessories for the aforementioned equipment will be provided upon written request. Faxed requests are encouraged and must state name, address and solicitation number, (703)339-2760. All requests shall include a current working facsimile number, along with a current working voice number. Requests for the accessories list shall be no later than Monday, May 14, 2001. Quotes in response to this notice shall be received no later than Thursday, May 24, 2001. Price will be the determining factor for award. This requirement will be awarded on an "All or None" basis. Delivery shall be 45 days ARO. Delivery shall be FOB Destination FBI, ERF Building #27958A, Quantico, VA 22135 -- All Quotes shall be submitted to FBI, Room 6875, JEH-FBI Building, 935 Pennsylvania Ave., N. W., Washington, D. C. 20535-0001 no later than 3:00pm EST and be marked clearly with RFQ #829449. The point of contact for all information is Charles A. Weschler, Contract Specialist, at the address and phone number listed above. In addition, all quoters are hereby notified that due to security requirements, Federal Express, D.H.L., UPS, etc. deliveries for the FBI Headquarters facility are now received at an off-site location. No hand carried quotes will be accepted. The FBI has allowed five (5) extra days for receipt of a quote. Any quote that is not received by the date, time and at the location specified in this announcement will not be considered. Each offeror shall include a completed copy of the FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications, Commercial Item (2/2001) with their proposal.
