Description

Description: Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has a requirement for a preliminary characterization and definition of a risk tolerant launch vehicle system. The proposed effort will include parametric evaluation of the vehicle and the key subsystems as well as an overall look at potential payloads and the market demand. To fulfill the requirement, DARPA intends to enter into a Purchase Order with KB Sciences, Inc. of Colorado Springs, Colorado, at a firm fixed price of approximately $69K. It's anticipated to be a four-month effort. KB Sciences, Inc. will provide support in the areas of vehicle parameterization, preliminary vehicle system and subsystem definition, and preliminary design and market assessment of a representative payload. KB Sciences, Inc. is the only source known to the Government with the capabilities, experiences and personnel for accomplishing the subject effort within the Government cost and schedule constraints. This Notice is not a request for competitive proposals. Contractors capable of offering their service must respond within fifteen (15) calendar days of the date of this Notice by submitting specific technical capability statement to provide this service. All responses received within the fifteen (15) calendar days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
