Description

This project is a Request for Proposal to remove and replace an existing river bridge on the Salida Ranger District, Pike-San Isabel National Forest, Garfield County, Colorado. This project consists of: removing the existing timber bridge, designated signage and entrance gate; furnishing and installing a new concrete bridge; widening the existing bridge approach roads; furnishing and installing riprap channel protection; furnishing and installing new bridge railing and approach guardrail; furnishing and installing new object markers and campground gates; seeding and mulching disturbed areas; and other related incidental work. The project is located approximately 20 miles west of Salida, Colorado on Forest Development Road 236 in the Pike-San Isabel National Forest, Section 33, Township 50 North, Range 6 East. Travel west approximately 20 miles from Salida on U.S. 50 to the Garfield Campground turnoff. The bridge is approximately 60 feet south of U.S. 50 near milepost 204. The performance period for the proposed contract is 270 calendar days. The estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. This will be a firm, fixed-price contract.
