Description

This procurement for the Columbarium Development, Phase 1, Project 892-019, Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego, California. Work will involve design and construction of 11,825 columbarium niches in approximately 2131 lineal feet of columbarium wall and 1479 lineal feet of columbarium flats. Work includes layout, structural design of the wall, demolition, excavation, grading, drainage, foundations, columbarium niche units, hardware and niche covers, and architectural precast concrete caps, walks, landscaping (turf, topsoil, repairs and decorative gravel strips. Approximately 418 L.F. of the columbarium wall (1990 Niches), shown on drawing L3 as "Fast Track Limit of Work" are to be completed within 100 days of receipt of Notice To Proceed. Requirement is for usable niches (including demolition, excavation, grading, drainage, foundations, columbarium niche units, hardware & niche covers); it does not include the architectural precast caps, landscaping (turf, topsoil, repairs), walks, or decorative gravel strip. Fabrication and delivery of 12,000 Marbel niche covers (11,825 + 2%) Project will be limited to SBA 8(a) certified contractors. -- Cost Range; Between $2,500,000.00 and $5,000,000.00 -- Bid documents will be available May 23, 2001 -- Request for documents shall be forwarded to: Michael W.
