Description
Headquarters, Operation Support Command (OSC) intends to issue a sole source Request for Quote(RFQ),DAAA09-01-91-Q-3025, to Oracle Corporation,1910 Oracle Way, Reston, VA 20190 for Bronze Support Maintenance for 2028 ea Oracle Network Licenses for the period 01 Jun 2001 through 31 May 2002. Licenses have been allocated to the following sites: HQ, OSC (722 ea), Rock Island Arsenal (64 ea), Pine Bluff Arsenal (100 ea), Anniston Army Depot (328 ea), Letterkenny Army Depot (130 ea), Corpus Christi Army Depot (352 ea), Crane Army Ammunition Activity (100 ea), Hawthorne Army Ammunition Plant (60 ea), Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant (40 ea), and Red River Army Depot (125 ea). Maintenance to consist of the following: A. Telephone technical assistance:(i) Telephone technical support for eight (8) Bronze Points of Contact (POC) and two (2) alternates each who are the U.S. Army OSC's and former U.S. Army Industrial Operations Command subordinates employees and are authorized to contact Oracle's Support Hotline, five (5) days a week during normal business hours. (ii.) Access by the POC to Oracle's MetaLink, an on-line support and bug data base system; (iii.) Quarterly newsletters and bulletin's delivered to the POC; and (iv.) The plan requires the POC to be the first point of contact for all questions regarding Oracle's Programs. Prior to the POC contacting Oracle for technical assistance, the POC shall consolidate and document all of its technical assistance requests and answer all of those product use questions he/she can. For only those questions the U.S. Army OSC's and former U.S. Army Industrial Operations Command subordinates technical staff are unable to answer, the POC may contact Oracle's Support Hotline as noted above; B. Updates: ( i.) Upon request Oracle shall provide one (1) set of Updates to the Master Copy for supported Program licenses. Updates for commercially available products shall be sent within thirty (30) days of receipt of the request. Vendors believing that they can provide this support at a competitive cost shall submit a written response within 5 days of the publication date of this notice that clearly shows its ability to meet the Government's needs. All responsible sources may respond and will be fully considered; however, oral communication is not acceptable. Written response must include firm fixed pricing and technical information sufficient to enable the Government to determine if a vendor can meet the Government's needs. No contract award will be made on the basis of offors/proposals received in response to this notice. If no affirmative responses are received clearly demonstrating a vendor's ability to meet the Government's need within 5 days after publication of this notice a sole source solicitation shall be issued to Oracle Corporation. All contractors who provide goods and service s to the Department of Defense (DOD) must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) in order to be awarded DOD contracts.
