Description

Regular overhaul (ROH) to include drydocking, hull, and mechanical systems work on the YTB 771, located at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, NH. This solicitation will be issued on or about 30 May, 2001, and vendors will have 30 days to respond. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside for the east and gulf U.S. coasts. The North American Industry Classification System code is 336611, and the size standard is 1,000 employees. This contract will be firm-fixed price with an allowance for growth work identified after inspections. All offerors will be required to have a current Master Ship Repair Agreement or Agreement for Boat Repair on file in accordance with DFARS SUBPART 217.71, prior to award. Contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, services and competencies to complete the required work. The government will furnish some materials for specific repairs. All work will be accomplished at the vendor's facility. Vendors offer will include a separate line item for cost of towing the YTB 771 from Portsmouth, NH to vendors facility, and return. The government reserves the right to either accept the offer or deliver the YTB 771 to the vendor facility by alternate means. A complete set of drawings will be available at the time of solicitation release. The YTB 771 will be available for vendor inspection the month of June, 2001.
