Description

Then National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to enter into a sole source contract with ,Larissa Podobedova, 307 West Side Dr. Room #103, Gaithersburg,, MD, 20878, under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1)-only one responsible source. Dr. Podobedova is extremely well qualified to provide the requested services. She is an expert in atomic spectroscopy and has participated in similar efforts both as a Gust Researcher and Contractor at NIST. Her assistance with these projects will allow NIST to meet its contractual obligation to NASA. The period of performance for this contract is for (10) months from the award. The Government anticipates the award of a task order contract. The proposed requirement is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302 _Circumstances permitting other than full and open competition. The following statutory authorities (including applications and limitations) permit contracting without providing for full and open competition. Requirements for justifications to support the use of these authorities are in 6.303. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill the requirement. A solicitation is not available. See Note 26.****
