SOURCES SOUGHT INTERESTED PARTIES The Rock Island Arsenal has a requirement to provide on-site mail distribution service to 95 directorates/organizations that represent approximately 5000 customers at Rock Island Arsenal. This installation is located on an island between Iowa and Illinois. There are 19 buildings on the installation that require mail pick up and delivery twice a day. Mail is picked up and delivered daily to the Postal Distribution Center near the airport in Moline, IL. The purpose of this notice is to further identify and establish initial interest and points of contact from the vendor community. Information may be used to help formulate bidder's mailing lists, acquisition strategies, to include socioeconomic program support and to help establish commercial practices available to the Government. Any responses to this notice should include the following information: Company name, point of contact, address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail address, brief description of company and capabilities, experience areas, size, history, CAGE code and/or Tax ID number, large business or small business category, hubzone, and any GSA contracts that you have. Also, please provide the experience you have in operating a mail distribution center that is similar in size and complexity to Rock Island Arsenal, the contract number, and points of contact for those contracts. Past performance will be a key factor for source selection. NOTE: No solicitation is issued at this time. Participation in this effort is strictly voluntary with no cost or obligation to be incurred by the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government will in no way be obligated to purchase all or any part of the services described above. The U. S. Government is providing this information as general information only. The U.S. Government will in no way be bound to this information and responses received if or when any solicitation is issued. NOTICE TO ALL CONTRACTORS: All contractors who provide goods/services to the Department of Defense (DOD) must be registered in the Central Contractor's Register (CCR).
