Description

The USDA Forest Service, Region 5 (California) has a requirement for contractors to provide Remote Sensing services for vegetation mapping projects and vegetation map updates within Region 5. Work is across national forests and private lands using state-of-the-art remote sensing techniques. There will be three distinct Work Items: Item 1 for Remote Sensing Specialists for on-site support in our lab at Sacramento, CA.; Item 2 for vegetation mapping projects (to be performed at the contractor's facility); and Item 3 for vegetation map update projects (to be performed at the contractor's facility). Firms will be required to demonstrate a certain level of expertise and capability in areas such as: Experience & qualification of key personnel, Past performance, and Technical approach. For economically feasibility, in order to qualify for award, the contractor is required to maintain an office within the State of California or Reno, Nevada. Firms may partner or joint venture to meet this requirement. Award will be based greatest overall value to the Government, price and other factors considered. The Government anticipates award to one firm that can perform all three Work Items. However, if budget and program requirements change the Government may award contracts to more than one qualified firms. Work will be issued through individual orders and priced at the time of the order.
