Description
This is a Sources Sought announcement only. There is NO solicitation for any action at this time. This synopsis is issued for the sole purpose of the 50th Contacting Squadron to conduct Market Research on project entitled Install Redundant Water Line Building 600, at Schriever AFB, Colorado. National Industrial Classification Systems Codes is 234910, size standard $27,500,000. The purpose of this project is to install a redundant water line to the Central Plant, Building 600, in order to ensure the continued operation of the facility in the event of a water main break. The new water line will be installed in such a way to allow for continued operation of the facility during construction, and minimize impact to existing structures. The new service line will be installed along the southeast side of building 600. The new installation will consist of a six-inch line from the existing eight-inch line. In addition, the new installation will include a four-inch domestic water pressure reducing valve station with three pressure reducing valves located in the emergency generator room. A four-inch line will be routed through the building using existing pipe support systems and the building structure, and connect into a four-inch line that provides make up water to all of the cooling towers. Based on the responses received from the announcement, the Government will follow the procedures set forth in the Federal Acquisition Regulations, and supplements thereto, to determine whether this requirement will be set aside for 8(a), small business or full and open competition. All firms expressing interest must be able to demonstrate qualifications necessary to accomplish this work in accordance with the statement of work as well as the drawings. Interested firms are requested to complete the attached survey and submit capability statements in writing to SSgt Leo Lombardo within 15 days of this publication, stating the following: (a) size of firm (large or small business), involvement in Socio-Economic Programs (SDB, Woman Owned, etc.), (b) contracts (commercial or government), (c) contract numbers, (d) dollar value, (e) dates of performance, (f) procurement center and point of contact. The capability statement should evidence relevant experience in the above areas and include the information requested in this announcement. The Government reserves the right to not contact firms who fail to supply the required information with in the time specified in this statement.
