Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA/NOS, Office of Coast survey intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Universal Systems, LTD (CARIS) to provide continued software updates and support for the CARIS marine geographical information system (GIS) software. The CARIS software is the proprietary product of Universal Systems, LTD. The software is an integral part of the processing of hydrographic survey data. This data is required to meet the Promote Safe Navigation strategic goal. Other sources capable of satisfying this requirement are invited to submit information as to their capabilities and any other pertinent data to the address above, to be received no late than 15 days after the date of this notice. No solicitation document exists, therefore a request for such document will not be considered. Award will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
