Description
17. During the period 1 October 2001 through 30 September 2002, with an option period 1 October 2002 through 30 September 2003, the contractor shall be responsible for the performance of technical support services in support of the US and UK Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) flight test program. Technical support services shall include support of FBM flight test operations to include collecting re-entry body acoustic data using instrumentation installed on ships and P3 aircraft and post-mission processing of data to determine impact location. Support also includes assisting the Applied Research Laboratory -- University of Texas in the development and validation of the Portable Impact Location System Phase 2 (PILS-2). Security Clearance at the Secret level is required. The solicitation (N00030-02-R-0022), issued under full and open competition, will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce On-Line (NECO) Web Page www.neco.navy.mil on or about 22 May 2001.
