Description
The U.S. Army Topographic Engineering Center (TEC) intends to award an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract for a base year with four (4) one-year options. The scope of work consists of a Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Research and Development (R&D) effort that will develop Synthetic Natural Environment (SNE) terrain databases for M&S and Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) activities. The work will accommodate the needs of individual and joint military services as well as the needs of the M&S Service Offices. The effort will require approximately 80% R&D effort and 20% Engineering Services (the NAICS Code for this requirement is 541710). The R&D effort will include, but is not limited to, world wide runtime database construction and visualization, runtime dynamic terrain and visual databases, data and data model configuration and development, sensor representation, software interfaces, weather services, bathymetric modeling, and the modeling of static and dynamic terrain objects. The contract will include the requirement for exercise support. Security clearances are required for this effort. The contract maximum for this effort is $50 million. This requirement is being solicited on an unrestricted basis; all interested parties may respond. The anticipated issue date of the solicitation is May 25, 2001.
