- Description
- LIVE FIRE TEST AND TRAINING PROGRAM. The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD), U.S. Army Simulation, Training and Instrumentation Command (STRICOM), Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation (AFAMS), and the Marine Corps Program Office (MCPO), all of Orlando, FL, have comprehensive modeling, simulation, instrumentation and training systems responsibilities ranging from research and technology base development through systems acquisition and life cycle support. The missions of these organizations support a broad customer base, including all military services, DoD, and non-DoD organizations, and includes the Live Fire Test and Training (LFT&T) program. This BAA is intended to cover research and development in the area of LFT&T technology, which includes joint service interest in alternative uses for simulation and synthetic environment technologies that can mutually benefit both military training and Live Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E). The following focus areas comprise the primary fields of interest for the FY02 LFT&T program: Modeling of Human Decision-Making Under Fire, Distributed Simulation Support, Non Line-of-Sight Tactical Engagement, Aviation-Related Simulation Enhancements, Crew Safety and Survivability, Embedded Systems, Time Critical Targeting/Strike/Battle Damage Assessment (BDA), Asymmetric Warfare, Synthetic Natural Environment (SNE), Network Centric Warfare, and Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD). Specific requirements for submission of white papers and formal proposals are identified in the BAA. A copy of the BAA may be downloaded on or after 15 May 2001 from the World Wide Web at the URL shown below. THIS IS A DUPLICATE NOTICE.
