Description

This amendment is to the combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items submitted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on April 12, 2001, for the purchase of a Scitex Digit 5240 Printing System, Request for Proposal #787476. Due to the discontinuance of parts availability for the FBI's second Scitex printer, the FBI's requirements have changed to replacement of both its Scitex Model 5100 Printers. The due date for proposals is hereby modified to 4:30 p.m. local time, May 25, 2001. The requirement is revised to include the purchase of a quantity of two Scitex Digit 5240 Printing Systems or equal. The CLINs remain the same as listed or an equal with the quantity revised to two (2) each. The requirement is hereby modified from the FBI intending to negotiate with Scitex Digital Printing, Inc., to a full and open competition. The requirement to be compatible with the Scitex Jetscape Software is no longer applicable. The FBI is now offering two Model 5100 Printers for trade-in. Delivery is required 30 days or less after receipt of the purchase order. The factors used to evaluate offers are revised to technical capability of item offered, delivery, price, and past performance. The factors are listed in descending order of importance from most important to least important. Technical capability, delivery, and past performance, when combined, are equal to price. Commerce Business Daily numbered Note 22 is no longer applicable. All other requirements stated in the Commerce Business Daily announcement of April 12, 2001, are applicable.
