Description

The U.S. Department of State has a requirement to acquire on a non-competitive basic pelican cases. We intend to solicit from only one source to fulfill the minimum need of the government for this requirement, which is estimated at $30,000. If another source could be found that can provide a similar product, if that product do not meet the minimum need of the government, it will be unacceptable. The items description for the pelican cases are as follows: Pelican 1650 with 1/2-inch lead liner and convoluted foam bottom (No top foam)(Dimensions: 32 1/2"x 20 1/2"x 11 3/4"); Lead Lining on three sides for Pelican 1650; Soft Pack Case with lead lining on three sides (Dimensions: 24" x 14" x 5"); Pelican 1500 with 1/2-inch lead liner convoluted foam bottom (No top foam)(Dimensions: 18 1/2" x 14 1/16" x 6 15/16"); Lead Lining to be attached to 1/2 inch foam liner for Pelican 1500; Pelican 1650 Empty(No foam, no liner) (Dimensions: 32 1/2" x 20 1/2" x 11 3/4"). The quantity respectively for the pelican cases are 40,40,24,24,24,and 44 each. The proposed purchase order is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. However, all quotes received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
