Description
The U. S. Department of Commerce has a requirement for all labor, material equipment, supervision necessary to provide Armed Guard Services at the Jeffersonville, IN, Bureau of the Censue Federal Center. Typical duties include but are not limited to (1) Entrance Control: Operate and enforce a system of acess control. Inspect packages when direct do do so by the Post Orders; (2) Roving Patrol: Patrol in accordance with routes and schedules estblished in the Post Orders; (3) Firearms: All posts presently serviced are to be armed post; (4) Control Issuance and Storage of Keys: Receive, issue and account for certain keys to the building, various offices, gates, etc.; (5) Security and Fire Systems: Monitor, operate, and reset building fire alarm and intrusion detection systems and other protection devices or building equipment; (6) Utility Systems: When required by written instructins for the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative or verbal instructions from the Security Center, monitor, record data and perform minor operations for the building utility system; (7) Building Rules and Regulations: Observe building occupants and visitors for compliance with posted rules and regulations; (8) Lost and Found: In accordance with post orders and procedures initiate the chain of custody procedure; (9) Law and Order: Maintain law and order within areas of assignment; (10) Unauthorized Activity or Access: Discover and detain persons engaged in authorized acitivty of attempting to gain unauthorized access to property. (11) Stable Management Team: A proven record of contract management in the Security or Law Enforcement Field. The estimated number of productive man hours per year is 57,558. The estimated number of supervisory hours per year is 6,344. The period of performance will be from October 1, 2001 through September 30, 2002 with (4) four one year option periods.
