Description

Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with the Washington State Emergency Management Division (WSEMD) for NOAA Pacific Marine Environmental Lab (PMEL). Purpose of proposed contract is to support the tsunami hazard mitigation implementation plan, specifically the development of tsunami evacuation map and tsunami mitigation programs. NOAA/PMEL is acting as lead agency in forming a federal/state working group to formulate the budget and develop implementation of the Tsunami Hazard Mitigation Implementation Plan. In support of implementation of the recommendations in the Tsunami Hazard Mitigation Plan, WSEMD is responsible for managing Washington's coastline and preparing for mitigation potential from earthquakes.
