Description

Background "This is a COMMERCIAL solicitaiton issued IAW FAR Part 12. This requirement is a 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. The Air Force intends to issue a solicitation for the purpose of purchasing the following: The DEVELOPMENT and DELIVERY of the SENIOR SAFETY PROFESSIONAL COURSE. Subject course will cover such topics as the Safety Managers role as a leader and as a safety advocate. Course shall introduce the safety professional to innovative safety management concepts and strategic planning. It shall define the duties for oversight and management of personnel and material resources, established safety programs, safetys role in Operational Risk Management (ORM) and mission accomplishment, Environment, Safety and Occupational Health (ESOH) partnering efforts and liaision with local civilian agencies. The course material will become the property of the Air Force Safety Center (AFSC) and Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT). Course will be conducted at Kirtland AFB NM. Duration: 2 Weeks, 2 Course Offerings per year. Stephen Plaisted is the Ombudsman who hears concerns during the proposal development. The purpose of the Ombudsman is to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements to the appropriate Government personnel. The existence of Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the contracting officer, accordingly the Ombudsman does not participate in the preparation of the solicitation or proposal evaluation.
