Description: Project work includes the construction of a two-bay spillway with vertical lift-gates, needle dams and service bride, intake and discharge basins, control house, with a LPG-driven generator for backup power and infrastructure to accommodate a manatee protection system. Site work includes paving, fencing, graded and sodded areas, bypass canal and disposal area. Electrical work includes services for the vertical lift gates and communication equipment. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Solicitation will be issued on or about 26 June 2001 and open on or about 14 August 2001. Solicitation will be issued in electronic format only. Bidders will be provided a CD-ROM at no cost. Interested offerors must register electronically.
