Description

SPAWARSYSCEN Charleston, SC (Code 50) intends to acquire on a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed Price basis a contract to AC Technology, Inc., 1165 Herndon Parkway, Suite 150, Herndon, VA 20170. The proposed contract is for replacement parts in support of the NAVMACS II system, an integral part of the Communication Controller Component. The PT-330B card works along with another, separate processor card (System Control Processor), and is installed in a VME (Versa Module Europe) chassis. This integrated system is known as the NAVMACS Communications Controller (NCC) and is essential for providing serial communications to and from ships at sea. This acquisition will be negotiated on a Sole Source basis with AC Technology, Inc. under the authority of FAR 3.302-1 (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements). THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. See Numbered Note 22. A determination by the Contracting Officer not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
