Description

This project is a Request for Proposal to obtain the services of a General Maintenance Worker at the Blackwell Job Corps Center in Forest county, Laona, Wisconsin. The Job Corps provides young adults the necessary job training which enables them to gain meaningful employment upon graduation. The Blackwell Job Corps Center is located approximately six (6) miles southeast of Laona, Wisconsin on County Road H. The Center is divided into two sites, an administrative site consisting of ten (10) buildings constructed of wood and/or metal and a residential site which consists of fourteen (14) buildings constructed of wood and/or metal. Solicitor must have a broad working knowledge of the make-up, operation and skill of a variety of maintenance work requirements. Solicitor must have a comprehensive understanding and the ability to plan, lay out and complete the installation, modification, repair, renovation, troubleshooting and testing of various systems within building maintenance including (but not limited to) the following: Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, Cement Work, Masonry, Tile, Gas/Hydronic Heating Systems, Air Conditioning, Welding/Soldering, Painting, Grounds Maintenance, Commercial/Residential Laundry Washers and Dryers, General Appliance Repair and Service, Ability to read and follow blueprints and diagrams, etc. Solicitation will be for one (1) base year and four (4) option years.
