Description
This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Request For Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-01-Q-3915_. NUWC Division Newport intends to purchase the following: CLIN 0001: Quantity Three (3) "Turnkey" Beowulf clusters each with a minimum of Eight (8) CPU's. The cluster can consist of either eight (8) single CPU computers or four (4) dual CPU computers. Each cluster shall be configured independently of the others. Each computer shall be in a rackmount chassis and fit into a standard 19 inch rack. Each cluster can use no more than 10U of rack space. Each cluster shall be connected and configured using, as a minimum, a four (4) Port 100 Mbit Switch. Each cluster shall be delivered fully configured, ready for use right out of the box without any modifications. The contractor shall configure the networks using Government supplied IP addresses. The Government requires the contractor to provide the Ethernet MAC addresses for each Ethernet port prior to Government issuance of the IP address. Each computer in the cluster shall have as a minimum: 1 GHZ Pentium IIIs or equivalent Video ready with a minimum of 2 MB Vram One (1) 10/100 Mbit port dedicated to clustering (running a 100 Mbit) Four (4) additional 10/100 Mbit Ethernet ports Ultra2 SCSI support 30 GB IDE HDD 48X CD Drive 1.44 Floppy 512MB RAM ECC PC 100 Keyboard Mouse RedHat 6.2 preinstalled and configured MPICH & MOSIX preinstalled and configured CLIN 0002 Quantity 3 each of 4 Port Switch Required delivery is 21days after award, F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI. 02841. This is 100% set-aside for small business. NAICS Code is 334111_; size standard is 1,000 employees.
