Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) Number SP 4410-01-Q-6005 Defense Logistics Information Services (DLIS) has a requirement for the performance of on-site, non-personal training services. BID SCHEDULE: Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) 001 Description: Checkpoint certified VPN-1/Firewall-1, Quick Start Plus Training. Estimated quantity = 8 people; Unit Price; Total Price; state travel or other applicable expenses separately, and state discounts if applicable. C.1 STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW): Checkpoint VPN-1/Firewall-1 Quick Start Plus, on-site training session for 8 people. This is an introduction to VPN-1 and Firewall-1 and provides students with the fundamental knowledge required to administer CheckPoint FireWall-1/VPN-1 installation. It should cover installation of the FireWall-1/VPN-1 components, creation of network objects and rulebases, and firewall logging and log management. Also includes instruction about the methods of authenticating to a FireWalled gateway and implementing network address translation. Includes Management I, Management II and High Availability and Certification Preparation. C.2 DELIVERY: After award, POC will contact awardee to make arrangements on date and time course will be held. Training facilities for on-site classes will be furnished at the Federal Center Building, 74 N. Washington Ave, Battle Creek, Mi. CONTRACTING OFFICER REPRESENTATIVE (COR) and TECHNICAL POINT OF CONTACT (POC) is Sharon Johnson, DLIS-B, 616 961-4195. All eligible, responsible sources may submit an offer. Quotes are to be received no later than 4:00 p.m Eastern Standard Time on May 23, 2001.
