Description

The Defense Supply Service-Washington intends to award a sole source contract (IAW FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source) to Working Council for Chief Information Officers to improve the design, modernization, use, sharing, and performance of agency information resources. Membership specifically provides DOD the opportunity to: Influence the requirements for new IT Specialty Codes via our continued active participation on the Federal IT Workforce Committee to help recruit, sustain and retain a well-trained IT/IM staff. Exchange ideas and advances in effective electronic government while ensuring the Federal Council understands the DoD specific security barriers to electronic commerce. Maintain involvement on the Security, Privacy and Critical Infrastructure Committee as one of the lead agencies that has extensive experience with information assurance protection that can contribute to establishment of government wide IT guidelines, policies, tools, training and implementation of PDD-63. No solicitation will be issued. This notice is for informational purposes only. A firm fixed price is anticipated.
