Description

This acquisition is for the upgrade of the Control Display System Version 3 (CDS3) to CDS Version 4 (CDS4). This upgrade includes the Right Improved Master Control Processing Unit (IMCPU), part number: 85000-88-943, NSN: 5820-01-471-3529; the left IMCPU part number: 8500088-923, NSN: 5820-01-471-3531, QTY: 101 shipsets with a 100 percent option. Authority and Justification for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The proposed procurement is for supplies which cannot be obtained through full and open competition because only one responsible source is capable of satisfying the Agency's requirements, FAR 6.302-1. Honeywell, Incorporated, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87113-2227 is the only known source capable of performing this work in the time frame required to satisfy the Army's minimum needs. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Agency. See Numbered Note(s): 22
