Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System comprising of the Nashville Campus and the Alvin C. York Murfreesboro Campus, intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302 with the American Red Cross, Tennessee Valley Region, 2201 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203, for whole human blood and blood components. Contract will cover the period of July 1, 2001 through June 30, 2002 with four (4) one year renewal options. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. Responsible sources may identify their interest and capability to provide this commodity by responding in writing to our office no later than 4:00pm on May 30, 2001. The determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract, based upon responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered soley for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No telephone requests accepted.
