Description
The Naval Research Laboratory has a requirement for the design, manufacture, and test for a quantity of two (2) Star Trackers for integration into a space vehicle (an element of the FAME attitude control system). The star trackers must be able to perform functions of attitude measurement in three mutually orthogonal axes. OPTION 1 -- Quantity one (1) an Engineering Development Unit (EDU) -- used for interface testing. OPTION 2 -- Quantity one (1) a Multiple-Star Simulator unit used to stimulate flight units. A detailed specification will be part of the solicitation package for this requirement. The required delivery is as follows: Star Trackers -- 18 months after award, EDU (Optional) -- 12 months, if exercised, and Multiple-Star Simulator unit -- 12 months, if exercised. The Government anticipates awarding a firm fixed price contract. NRL uses electronic commerce (EC) to issue RFPs and amendments to RFPs. This solicitation and any amendments to it will be available via the internet at the URL address shown below. This solicitation will be issued full and open competition. Paper copies of the RFP will not be provided. See Note 26.
