Description

Provide all labor, equipment and material necessary to remove and replace fire hydrants and water main valves at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin in accordance with specifications, drawings and conditions contained in the solicitation. This will be a Firm Fixed Price Requirements contract with a base period and two one-year option periods. The project includes but is not limited to trenching; removal and installation of new hydrants and valves; topsoil and seeding. The project magnitude for the base and two option periods is between $350,000 and $450,000. A 20% bid bond is required. Payment and performance bonds or alternate payment protection will be required after award of each delivery order, unless a delivery order issued is under $25,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 234910 with a small business size standard of $27.5 million. This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. Bid documents will be available electronically at the Army Single Face to Industry Business Opportunities Page http://abop.monmouth.army.mil on or about 6 June 2001. Telephonic, written, faxed, or electronic requests for hard copies of bid documents will be denied. Parties interested in the solicitation should access the web page for issuance of the solicitation, associated documents, and solicitation amendments; contractors will NOT be directly notified of solicitation amendments. A plan holders list will be available only on the website and will not be faxed or otherwise forwarded to interested parties.
