Description

The project entails concrete repair and coating of an acid containment area at the Leadville Mine Drainage Tunnel. The work to be performed includes: 1) removal and repairing of unsound concrete in the floor and walls of the acid containment area. Perform abrasive blast surface preparation to the concrete prior to application of the coating. 2) Furnish and install Rust-Oleum "Overkote Plus" heavy duty industrial floor topping and "Overkote Plus Vertical" wall covering or an approved equal system. The coating system shall withstand immersion in 98% sulfuric acid. The Leadville Mine Drainage Tunnel is located approximately 1 mile northeast of Leadville, Colorado, in Lake County, at approximate elevation of 9900 feet. The due date for the Request for Quotations (RFQ) is tentatively scheduled for June 18, 2001. All reasonable sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. This will be set aside for small business. The North American Industry Classification System code is 235710. The Standard Industrial Classification code is 1771. The small business size standard is $7.0 million. To receive a copy of the RFQ, contractors shall fax a request to (406) 247-7798.
