Description

The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to conduct a full and open competition for production of the AN/SQS-53C Transducer Array, Unit 717 for the AN/SQQ-89(V) Surface Ship ASW Combat System. The RFP will contain requirements for full first article testing of transducer elements, staves, cables and installation hardware. After successful completion of the first article testing, the contract provides for the production of up to five (5) transducer array shipsets for the forward fit market; plus options for the production of up to five (5) shipsets for US requirements and up to three (3) shipsets for FMS requirements per year for four years. The RFP will be available on the NAVSEA website on or about 1 June 2001.
