Solicitation FUCERF11010100 is a combined Synopsis/ Solicitation = for an Upgrade to our existing Scientific -- Atlanta MGU -- 1008 Radio = Controlled Load Management System (LMS) to a Microsoft Windows based = radio controlled LMS to include the latest version of LMSlite software. = This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; request for = quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be = issued. Solicitation FUCERF11010100 is issued as a request for = quotation (RFQ). Services non-personal: Furnish all labor, equipment, = materials, supplies, transportation and training required to Upgrade = the existing Scientific -- Atlanta MGU -- 1008 Radio Controlled Load = Management System (LMS) to a Microsoft Windows based radio controlled = LMS. The new software must be capable of operating on an existing = (Customer Provided) IBM Pentium PC. The new system must be fully = compatible with the Scientific-Atlanta DCU Model 1170-A series radio = controlled switches already in place. The supplier must provide = on-site operator training and technical support for setup, database = loading/programming, and startup for up to 3 days. New hardware = components to connect (2) existing data points to the new LMS are also = requested. The data points are pulse signals (KYZ contact output) from = existing electrical power (KMH) meters in the base substations which = are from fourth of a mile to a half a mile from the main control room. = The value of these points is to be monitored/ displayed in the new LMS = as a total substation load (MW/MWH). Customer provided telephone lines = (data grade) are available at the KYS output terminals, for data = transmission from each substation to terminals in the main control = room. The following hardware is required for the new LMS: (1) Remote = transmitter Controller (RTC) that interfaces the PC to the existing = radio transmitter. 75 (ea.) new radio controlled switches, equal to or = better than Scientific-Atlanta/Comverge DCU Model 2051-00-00-S. (2) = Durado Transmit modem and (2) receive modems. (2) Pulse to analog = converters. All equipment provided, connected, installed, or = otherwise supporting the system shall become the property of the U.S. = Government. This includes all components, ancillary equipment, cables, = connectors, and other items necessary to provide a fully integrated = system. All installation/ work shall be warranted for at least 365 = days. All equipment warranties shall be provided upon completion of = work. The = following factors shall be used to evaluate quotations; ( i ) price ( = ii ) technical ( iii ) past performance, Offerors must provide a = minimum of three references with same/ similar type work that is listed = in this solicitation. The closing date for the request for quotation = (RFQ) is Monday 11 June 2001 at 4:00 PM Pacific Standard Time. Late = quotations will not be accepted.
