Description

Repair or Replace as necessary various items on 3 each 5 ton 6 X 6 trucks. These items consist of: Cummins 250 Motor, Rockwell Front Steering Axle, Rockwell Front Drive Axle, Rockwell Rear Drive Axle, Transfer Case Model T1138, Allison MT654 CR Transmission, Drive Train Component, Brake Component (Air), Windows, Lights, Batteries, and Tires. The trucks will be transported to and from the contractor's repair point by government personnel. The repair point shall be within a 40 miles radius of the Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, IL. Work is to be completed on the trucks 15 Sep 01. This is unrestricted. Approximate issue date is 7 Jun 01 with opening date approx 15 days from issue. NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS: All contractors who provide good/services to the Dept of Defense (DOD) must be registered in the Central Contractors Register (CCR) in order to be awarded DOD contracts. Further information may be obtained through the internet at http://ccr2000.com. The Government intends to issue this solicitation via the internet.
