Description

This project includes maintenance of the traveled way of certain roads located on Mitkof Island, Southeast Alaska. Work will be ordered by the Government on a call-out basis. The work includes furnishing, on a fully operated basis, the services of a motor grader, a vibratory grid roller, a large crawler backhoe, and a dump truck. The work also includes spot placement of government-furnished crushed aggregate on the road surfaces. The specific roads include the Three Lakes Loop Road (6235), Woodpecker Road (6245), Cabin Creek Road (6204), Twin Creek Road (6209), and the Dry Strait Road (6241). The contract period will be for one year from the date of award. The project is totally set-aside for small business concerns. The NAICS code for the work is 115310. The solicitation will be posted to the Tongass National Forest Internet homepage for viewing and printing on or about June 4, 2001 by following the link to Current Contract Information.
