Description

This proposed combined synopsis is for software for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. To provide the following: Contract for production of discharge-measurement, user-interface software for the Nortek Aquadopp model accoustic current profiler. The contractor shall develop the software based on guidance from the USGS. USGS guidance shall consist of supplying the necessary discharge-computation methodologies and algorithms to the contractor; these methodologies and algorithms shall be incorporated into the software. The contractor shall test and debug the software as needed. The contractor shall supply a beta (test) version of the software to the USGS; the USGS shall make discharge measurements with the beta version, evaluate the software and results, and supply any necessary modifications to the contractor who shall incorporate the changes. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within the fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon resposes to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Submit proposals to: Gail D.
