Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 7, is seeking responses from interested parties regarding potential development opportunities at any or all of the VA Medical Center facilities located at Tuscaloosa (AL), Tuskegee (AL), and Augusta (GA). These locations are part of the enhanced use study to determine an appropriate course of action to be taken by the VA with respect to properties that may be marketable for development. A. ANTICIPATED RESPONDENTS -- This solicitation of interest is intended to draw response from stakeholders, real estate developers, entrepreneurs, and any other interested parties that may have an interest or vision for any of the properties under consideration. Examples of possible development concepts include, but are not limited to: administrative uses or office building development; residential development; corporate headquarters; community facilities; healthcare related facilities such as medical offices, long-term care, and hospice; multi-tenant office complexes (i.e., professional services such as legal, insurance, financial, etc.) and any other marketable development opportunities. B. INPUT SOUGHT -- For the purpose of the current enhanced use study, the VA would like responses from any interested party. Anticipated responses may be of an early, conceptual nature or more complete proposal format. This solicitation of interest is an early stage request to obtain feedback from knowledgeable and interested stakeholders, developer, and potential marketers of VA property. Written responses are desired, and should provide an overview of development/redevelopment or other plans for the properties in question as well as any applicable background information, exhibits, or research.
