- Description
- The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) seeks information as to potential sources which can provide analytical and technical support services to support the missions of DTRA. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS; there is no solicitation available at this time. No response will be provided for requests for a solicitation. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS IS PUBLISHED FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. The Deputy Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Nuclear Treaty Programs is the Department of Defense Treaty Manager for nuclear treaties and agreements such as the International Atomic Energy Agency Strengthened Safeguards Agreement and nuclear non-proliferation and fissile material programs, the Fissile Material Cut-Off Treaty and related bilateral initiatives, and the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty. The Nuclear Treaty Programs Office (NTPO), located in Arlington, Virginia, supports the negotiation, implementation and verification of compliance of these treaties and agreements. DTRA is seeking sources that can provide analytical and technical support services to the NTPO in the following areas: technical reviews, studies, assessments and analyses; engineering and technical coordination; support to US delegations to international bodies; programmatic support to NTPO-sponsored cooperative research and development initiatives; program planning, coordination, implementation, documentation and reporting; and administrative support, such as document preparation and processing, scheduling, travel/logistical arrangements, and conference/meeting/workshop preparation, coordination, facilities, etc. Contractor personnel may be required to periodically travel outside the National Capital Area. DTRA anticipates that this procurement will be set aside for 8(a) contractors. It is currently anticipated that the contract will have a one-year period of performance, with four one-year options. This SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS is NOT a Request for Proposals (RFP); it is a market research tool being utilized to determine the availability of sources prior to issuing an RFP. Any information submitted by respondents as a result of this synopsis is strictly voluntary. This synopsis is for information planning purposes and the Government will not pay or otherwise reimburse respondents for information submitted. Prospective suppliers are requested to provide company literature AND/OR provide a capability summary not to exceed five (5) pages in length describing their relevant corporate experience providing these types of analytical and technical services in support of arms control treaties and agreements. Please include a point of contact. All information submitted in response to this Sources Sought Synopsis shall be received not later than 2:00 PM EST, 06 June 2001.
