Description

The Albuquerque Area Indian Health Service (IHS) will be soliciting proposals from prospective contractors to provide educational (teacher) services to the Native American adolescents residing at the New Sunrise Residential Treatment Center (NSRTC), San Fidel, New Mexico. Academic course work includes grades 7 through 12. The educational services are integrated with the overall program services to residents being treated for substance abuse or corresponding mental health problems. Contractor should have at least five (5) years of specialized experience working with adolescents in a residential/inpatient setting who are experiencing problems with learning, emotional difficulties and substance abuse. Contractor must have experience with the assessment of resident academic status, the development of education treatment goals, objectives and interventions for assigned residents and the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams when necessary. Contractor shall have experience in providing educational services to members of minority groups. RFP Packages will be available on/or before June 15, 2001 with a due date of July 13, 2001.
