Description
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), West Bank & Gaza Mission seeks to contract for the services of a United States construction contractor (USAID country code 000), to submit a bid for the construction of wells and other facilities for the Beni Naim water supply system in the southern West Bank area under the USAID funded Water Resources Program (Phase II). The work for the Beni Naim water supply system includes the following: 1) Drilling of three new production wells of approximately 700 meters depth; 2) Installation of well pumping facilities at five production well sites; 3) Construction of Booster Station No.1 with reservoir capacity of 1,500 cubic meters (CM) and site facilities; 4) Construction of Booster Station No.2 with reservoir capacity of 5,000 CM and site facilities; 5) Installation of high voltage (33KV) electrical power transmission system for approximately 3 km and connection to national grid; 6) Construction of high pressure (30 Bar) steel pipeline for 11 km and connection into existing reservoir at Halhoul; and 7) Construction of high pressure (20 Bar) steel pipeline for 8 km and connection into existing reservoir at Yatta. The estimated performance period will be two years from October 2001 and the price of the resulting contract is estimated to be more than $10 million. The IFB will be distributed on/about June 5, 2001. Prospective bidders may choose to purchase one of the following sets: SET A; IFB Documents including one full size set of drawings and one reduced set of drawings, or SET B; IFB Documents including one reduced set of drawings. A certified check in the amount of $1,000 for SET A, or $200 for SET B, must be made in the name of "US Embassy -- Tel Aviv" and received with the request for the IFB documents. Purchase of the IFB (SET A), and attendance to the pre-bid meeting, including site visits, is required for those intending to submit a proposal. The pre-bid conference and site visits are anticipated to take place on/about June 25, 2001. The anticipated date for submitting the bids is on/about August 21, 2001.
