Description

Maintenance Dredging, Lynnhaven Inlet. The project consists of dredging the Entrance Channel and Turning Basin to a required depth of 11 feet, the Channel to Broad Bay to a depth of 10 feet, and the Long Creek Side Channel to a depth of 9 feet, each with 1-foot of allowable overdepth. The Contractor shall perform the scheduled work with a hydraulic dredge and transport the dredged material by pipeline and place the dredged material in Government-furnished upland and shoreline placement areas. The work involves approximately 165,800 cubic yards of maintenance dredging, including 16,000 cubic yards of estimated accretion from the survey dates through October 2001, and all other associated work as indicated and specified. Magnitude of construction is $500,000 to $1,000,000. Duration of the project is 90 calendar days for performance. This is a SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE PROCUREMENT. Applicable SIC code is 1629, with a size standard of $27.5 million. The NAICS code is 23499. The solicitation will be available on the internet only. No paper copies or CDs will be issued.
